The brainchild of Operation Safety Net, an organization that reaches out to the homeless each weekday, Give & Take is an extension of OSN’s mission. OSN’s outreach workers search out and offer services to homeless individuals on the streets, in drop-in centers, soup kitchens and in a medical van that provides quality medical services to the uninsured and homeless. Through a well-coordinated system of street outreach, Operation Safety Net will extend its amazing work to more than just the people who need their services through Give & Take.

Members of the community can donate their new or gently used coats, blankets, and supplies at the kiosk through an interactive screen. Each donation is placed in a seperate storage box and virtually tagged so that the items in each container are searchable. The storage boxes are housed in the interior of the kiosk and rotate around to optimize space and ensure maximum amount of donations. Through the existing OSN outreach programs, those in need are given vouchers for one item redeemable at Give & Take, and can search for the specific items that they need.
